Presentation

The Institute of Metals in Biology of Grenoble (IMBG) is organizing its 6th biannual International Meeting from the 13th to the 18th of September 2015. This year, the meeting is dedicated to "Chemistry & Biology of Iron-Sulfur Clusters",
The purpose of this meeting is to attract and gather worldwide scientists from chemistry to biology in order to build-up a new place for international scientific exchanges and collaborations. A two-day Advanced Courses is preceding the Conferences to allow young scientists to improve their knowledge in some aspects of Iron-Sulfur Clusters.

The conference comprises plenary and keynote lectures, oral communications and posters sessions. Oral communications will be selected on the basis of the abstracts by the organizing committee. The relevant topics will concern:
- Biogenesis
- Catalysis & energy applications
- Iron-sulfur proteins & health
- Bioinspired systems
- Metal-sulfur redox centers

The Advanced Courses will host a limited number of lectures (~6) given by internationally renowned scientists. The format of the courses will facilitate strong interactions between lecturers and attendees (up to 40). Our aim is to provide a top-level teaching in a highly stimulating and non-intimidating environment for graduate students, post-doc, and young scientists. Students and young researchers are strongly encouraged to attend these courses.

The meeting will be held in Villard de Lans, a village located in the beautiful surrounding of the Vercors Mountains, near Grenoble.

The number of participants will be limited to 100
